A couple of days ago, I was chatting with a friend, and with a lot of excitement, asked questions about our school, then I realized that she didn't know anything about the things we have been doing this year.  Therefore, I decided to write this with a little info:

This year 2007 we have 211 children in the “Vidas Plenas” program (whole lives).  Most of them come daily and receive:
Breakfast or Lunch
Vitamins
Toothbrush
Homework/Elementary Tutoring
Sex Education
Art
Bible Lessons
Time to play
Time to read
Monthly outing
Medicine
Counseling

This year we have scholarships for 37 kids.

We keep on running the School for parents once a month, where we teach the parents, through the Bible, how to be a successful parent, husband/wife in their homes.
The children don't pay anything, but it is a requirement that their parents attend that meeting so the kids can stay in the program.

We are trusting God so He can provide us a land field close to us, where we can have better facilities and a recreational area so we can also serve more children.

Lately I'd been thinking and realizing how many people are infected with HIV or AIDS.  Anytime, it will start being more notorious.  Right now we have a boy, named Jesus.  He is 7 years old, but seems like 3 years old.   He apparently is on the final stage of this disease.  He is not involved in the program, but we have kept a close relationship with his father.  We would love to have him in the school, but he is too sick.

The Library also was modified.  Now each class has it own space for “Tell me a story”.  This is a square of carpet with its own Bookshelf.  (we hope to have enough cushions soon).  They enjoy a lot with their books, That is quite a joy and an accomplished goal for us.

Please, pray because I have being feeling very tired lately, more than usual.

Thank you so much for your prayers and encouraging words.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

God Always helps us and takes care of us, so we can go on.  By His mercy, we have being able to get here.  Praised be the Lord, forever, who helps us all the time and manifests himself as the living God!

Thanks for everything!!
